Stock the Sled

The Capital City Clauses are excited to announce our partnership with NBC-17 to host Stock the Sled, a toy drive to support the Wake County Salvation Army’s Christmas Cheer Program on Friday, November 30th at North Hills in Midtown Raleigh.

This is the first year of the Stock the Sled toy drive, and hopefully won’t be the last. For the past 19 years our mission has been to collect toys to stock the Salvation Army’s Toy Shop.  Every December the Salvation Army sets up a temporary Christmas toy shop to provide a place for the families signed up for their program to choose toys for their children. With this partnership we hope to collect an unprecedented number of toys for Wake County children and exceed our goal of raising over 5,500 toys this year.

NBC-17 will broadcast live throughout the day from The Commons at North Hills beginning with “NBC-17 Today” followed by a special live edition of “My Carolina Today” sponsored by Park & Market North Hills Apartments. “NBC-17 News” will feature live shots and coverage throughout the remainder of the day with visits from Penn Holderness, Pam Saulsby, Melanie Sanders, Chief Meteorologist Wes Hohenstein and other members of the NBC-17 news team.

We hope that you will find some time during the day to come out and drop of a toy – we’d love to see you! To thank you for your donation and to share in the holiday spirit there will be opportunities to win prizes and discounts at local merchants. If you are unable to come out on Friday, donations will be accepted prior to November 30 at Park & Market North Hills Apartments.
